Welcome to Onboardly ("Onboardly," "we," "our," or "us"). Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have regarding your information when using the Onboardly Chrome Extension and related services.

1. Information We Collect

Information You Choose to Provide

We may collect information that you voluntarily provide, including:

• Profile information you enter into Onboardly (for example, name, email, job title, company, and optional custom field values)
• Preference choices you save for future onboarding automation
• Account information returned by Google only when you choose "Continue with Google" (for example, account id, email, display name, and avatar)

Website Onboarding Information

When you use Onboardly on supported websites, the extension reads page content relevant to onboarding automation, such as page URL/path, title, headings, labels, and form field metadata, in order to:

• Detect onboarding flows
• Identify fields that can be completed automatically
• Apply your saved preferences
• Improve future onboarding automation

Onboardly does not sell page data and does not use it for advertising.

Subscription Information

If you purchase Onboardly Pro, checkout is processed by Stripe. We do not receive or store full payment card numbers. We receive limited billing status data needed to activate your plan.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Provide onboarding automation
• Save your onboarding preferences
• Keep your selected account mode (Google or local) on this browser
• Improve automation accuracy
• Process subscriptions
• Respond to customer support requests
• Maintain the security and reliability of the service

We do not sell your personal information.

3. Chrome Permissions

Onboardly requests certain Chrome permissions to function properly, including:

• storage: save settings, profile values, learned preferences, and subscription state
• sidePanel: show Onboardly controls in Chrome's side panel
• tabs and activeTab: identify and interact with the active tab for scan/fill actions
• scripting: inject content scripts needed to detect and fill forms on supported pages
• identity: optional Google sign-in when you choose it
• optional host permissions (HTTPS sites): requested when needed so Onboardly can run on a site you choose

These permissions are used solely to provide the extension's functionality.

4. Data Storage

Onboardly stores data in two places:

• Locally in your browser (primary): profile values, extension settings, learned preferences, and local subscription state
• On our servers (limited): account and billing-related operations only (for example, creating and verifying Stripe checkout)

We take reasonable measures to protect stored information.

5. Third-Party Services

We use trusted third-party providers including:

• Google Authentication (Google Sign-In), only when you choose that option
• Stripe (subscription checkout and payment processing)
• Hosting providers such as Vercel for related web services

Each provider operates under its own privacy policy.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.

We may share information only when:

• Required by law
• Necessary to provide our services (for example, payment processing through Stripe)
• Necessary to protect our legal rights or prevent abuse

We do not share your saved onboarding profile values with advertisers.

7. Data Retention

Local extension data remains on your device until you edit, clear, or uninstall the extension. Server-side billing/account records are retained only as long as needed to provide services and meet legal obligations.

You may request deletion of your account and associated information by contacting us.

8. Your Choices

You may:

• Uninstall the Chrome extension at any time
• Remove or update saved onboarding preferences in settings
• Choose local mode instead of Google sign-in
• Contact us to request deletion of your account data (if applicable)

9. Product Behavior and Control

• Onboardly is designed to fill fields, not submit forms for you.
• It does not automatically click Continue, Submit, or Pay buttons.
• You remain responsible for reviewing information before submission.

10. Children's Privacy

Onboardly is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

11. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect your information. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission over the Internet is completely secure.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the Effective Date above.
